  1.     Modify Primary Domain Name Servers
  2.  
  3.     This window allows you to modify a primary domain name server.
  4.  
  5.     This window contains the following fields:
  6.  
  7.     Domain Name
  8.  
  9.     This  read-only field specifies the domain name of the DNS server 
  10.     being modified.
  11.  
  12.     Primary Server Hostname
  13.  
  14.     This read-only field specifies which host is the primary domain name
  15.     server. 
  16.  
  17.     Network I.P. Numbers
  18.  
  19.     This read-only field specifies the network I.P. Address of the
  20.     subnets the DNS server will manage within the domain. 
  21.  
  22.     Dir. for DNS database files
  23.  
  24.     This read-only field specifies the full directory pathname for the DNS
  25.     database files. 
  26.  
  27.     Pathname to DNS config. files
  28.  
  29.     This read-only field specifies the full pathname for the named.boot file.
  30.     This file is used by the BIND daemon to locate the DNS configuration
  31.     files at system start-up. 
  32.  
  33.     Administrator e-mail address
  34.  
  35.     Use this field to specify the DNS administrator's email address.

  38.     Database serial number
  39.  
  40.     Use this field to enter the serial number associated with the DNS
  41.     database. The default serial number is 1 (one). This serial number
  42.     is incremented every time the primary database is altered.
  43.  
  44.     DNS database refresh frequency
  45.  
  46.     You can use this field to choose how often the secondary DNS
  47.     database serial numbers are checked against the primary DNS database
  48.     numbers. If the serial numbers are different, the secondary DNS
  49.     updates itself. The default value is every three hours.
  50.  
  51.     DNS query retry frequency
  52.  
  53.     You can use this field to choose how frequently the secondary DNS
  54.     server will attempt to reconnect with the primary DNS server if the
  55.     initial contact with the primary server failed. The default value is
  56.     every hour.
  57.  
  58.     DNS data expiry
  59.  
  60.     You can use this field to choose the maximum time the hostname and
  61.     IP address information will live in a secondary server when the
  62.     Primary server is unreachable. The default value is one week.
  63.  
  64.     Minimum TTL
  65.  
  66.     You can use this field to choose the maximum time a cached hostname
  67.     and IP address will live in a DNS server before the secondary server
  68.     contacts the primary server to resynchronize the data. The default
  69.     value is one day.

  71.     This window contains the following buttons:

  74.  
  75.     Click on this button to begin the modification the new DNS server.

  77.     Cancel

  79.     Click on this button to close the window without making any changes.
